It is a place for social, religious, economic, and political activities.
Some Gurdwaras also have schools.
It is not a Sikh Temple or a Sikh Church.
Langar (community kitchen) is not required in a Gurdwara.
All people of all religions are welcome to the Gurdwara provided they follow the protocols.

Peer Bala Shah: unique location, visited by Guru Nanak.
Bibi Mumtazgarh Sahib: One of the few Gurdwara named after woman. Stunning location, surrounded by old Punjab landscape.
Mehdiana Sahib: location of open air Museum of Sikh History.
